M$ products are not affected by this vulnerability. I bet the IT department of corp companies are busy at this moment.
There is this Cnet Review article saying that the recent flaw with Cisco shellcode via remote access could cause a huge problem which may enable a take down of the internet. The article writes about the previous perception of how well secure cisco routers used to be, a stole source code and customer password system compromise.
If you do not know, Cisco equipments are used to help carry most of the Internet’s traffic on a daily basis. With this vulnerability in their system, there is a possibility that an organize attack or a worm that exploits it. If that happens the experts are predicting that it would greatly affect the internet as a whole.
Currently the experts are not expecting any exploits yet, but they are trying to push for more companies to update the patch provided by cisco to lessen a internet break down.
