2006 is coming to an end soon, and we would be welcoming 2007 in a day’s time or so (depending on your time zone). I have once again compiled a few technology and gadget news around the web today.

What a funky looking car, this car (Venturi Electic is an environmentally friendly) is power by solar and wind power and it cost around $20,000 – $30,000. It would be available around June 2007. I am a firm supporter for eco-friendly cars but this one I would have to pass for it looks weird.

USB Charger made from LEGO parts. It uses a crank to get the electric charge into the device. I loved to play with LEGO as a kid and now I guess this shows the power of LEGO and how their products can be modified to produce great results.

It’s Christmas weekend, sorry I couldn’t update much news these few days so I thought I just do a quick and dirty summary of some interesting tech news that I thought would be fun to mention. So here we go…

Windows Vista Exploit code Proof of concept
A Russian hacker forum has posted a proof of concept exploit code on breaking into MS Windows Vista.

Playstation 3 sells 1 million sets
Here’s a game focus website that has reported that the number of Playstation 3 sold has hit the 1 million mark. You can see Wii and other consoles numbers here too.

Best Buy Gets Sued For Using Pirated Software
Hmm here’s a twist where Best Buy after breaking off a deal with a software company gets sued for not having enough licenses. I feel its the company’s way of getting back at BestBuy haha
Red Hat: Earnings up, customers in, competitors out
Hohoho
Red Hat has it’s earnings heading towards the sky cool eh. Now I wonder if Red Hat would be able to make head way in to the consumer market and erode MS market share? I need to get an alternative before I format my HDD :P
